System improvements in network and battery life can be expected with the Android Kit Kat 4.4, according to IB Times. The KitKat web site promises better network compatibility and wider coverage across the globe.

The new OS will improve overall battery standby time for long lasting work and play. Other features include signal coverage improvements, easy switching between regional networks in different territories, expected compatibility with the two LTE network versions, longer battery standby time with better background application management, and better support of new processors optimise battery life, IB Times reports.

Google reportedly won't give the Android Kit Kat 4.4 user interface a major redesign, but will change the palette colour scheme depending on the app, in comparison to the way it used to look on Android Jelly Bean oS. The Android Key Lime Pie will get a new icon, new transition animations, and other technical enhancements to the user interface, according to IB Times. Android 4.4 features smoother screen orientation, UI touch responsiveness and more major bug fixes on the system.

As we previously reported, rumored specs for the Nexus 5 include a Full HD screen display with either 5.0-inches or 5.2-inches, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor at 2.3GHz and 3GB of RAM. The device is also rumored to have a camera made by Nikon. The leaked screenshot suggests the Nexus 5 display resolution to be 1920 x 1080 pixels, with screen resolution expected to be 443 pixels per inch (ppi). It also shows the Nexus 5 supports the wireless charging feature, The Christian Post reports.
