New Ultra Tech $100 Bill Comes Out Oct. 8th! 

Meet the new $100 bill that will come out tomorrow, Tuesday October 8th. Two years after it's initial target release date, the Federal Reserve announced that the new ultra tech100 dollar bill will come out this October and they kept their word. Tomorrow, Oct 8th, new hundred dollar bills will start circulating and the ultra tech bill has some wonderful characteristic. 

The launch of the new 100 dollar bill has been delayed since 2010 due to countless production challenges, including unwanted creases in the notes, but it was worth the wait. The ultra high tech bill is colorful and decorative with inkpots making it almost impossible to counterfeit.

Officials have been trying for years to combat the high-quality fake $100 bills that are being produced in North Korea. The counterfeit 100's, also called supernotes, are extremely tough to detect.

The $100 bill is the most frequently counterfeited of all U.S. currency. Older $100 bills can still be used, but they'll be destroyed as they come through the Federal Reserve system.

Our Benjamin is getting a facelift! On the new 100 bill is a blue, 3-D security ribbon on the front that moves when the note is tilted back and forth and side-to-side like a hologram.

The Liberty Bell on the front of the bill and the number 100 on the right-hand corner also change from copper to green when the note is tilted.

Benjamin Franklin will remain on the $100 bill, the highest value denomination in general circulation.

There will be an extensive public education effort for for businesses and consumers around the world to raise awareness about the new design and provide information on how to use the new security features.

The $100 bill is actually the second most common bill in circulation, behind only the $1 bill and is actually slightly more common than the $20 bill.
