Pokemon X And Y News: Moltres Confirmed For Kalos Pokedex, Horde Battles Grant Rare Abilities, Hoenn Region References Excite Gamers For Potential Remake

Pokemon X and Y are just around the corner, and more updates have surfaced regarding legendary Pokemon, horde battles, and perhaps another upcoming remake.

Continuing the tradition of bringing back original Pokemon, there is official news confirmation that the legendary bird trio from Red and Blue will be in X and Y.

The first image of wild Moltres encounter has surfaced at Level 70, and it all but confirms that Articuno and Zapdos will also be included in the game. Some gamers are confirming the news that Moltres to be part of the "Coastal Kalos Pokedex."

In addition, a screenshot of X and Y seems to confirm that not only can players catch Pokemon from horde battles, but they will also sometimes carry rare Abilities.

This begs the question: Can players only catch a horde Pokemon once all the other Pokemon have fainted, or can it be caught mid-battle?

Meanwhile, another bit of X and Y news that is circulating the web are the Hoenn region references found throughout the 3DS games.

In the latest screenshot, NPCs within X and Y can be seen talking about the region made famous by Ruby and Sapphire all those years ago.

Fans are hoping, of course, that these references are indicative of a Ruby and Sapphire remake, much like HeartGold and SoulSilver.

"Game Freak always does these kind of 'references,'" writes Nintendo All Stars on Instagram. "For example, in Pokemon Pearl/Diamond, there's this town where they have a portal for Celebi and one dude in the game talked about that in his he had tons of GOLD and SILVER."

"I've heard it's going to be an add-on to the games," says X_carnage_X.

What do you think? If Pokemon X and Y included the Hoenn region as a DLC, would you be excited?
