Tim Tebow News Update 2013: NFL Free Agent Spotted With A Lady During Time Off In Hawaii, Turns Out To Be His Sister!

Tim Tebow news update 2013: He’s unemployed and currently a free agent, but Tim Tebow is definitely enjoying the break as he was spotted a few days ago in the beaches of Hawaii spending some down time.

In a humorous note by TMZ, the gossip site reported that Tim was “spotted being oiled up by a woman….but fear not, his virginity is safe – the woman is his sister Katie.”

CBS Sports reported that there were earlier rumors that Tebow was in California for R&R, but with the Hawaii pictures, it look like he’s taking a little vacation from his vacation to spend some family time on the islands.

There were speculations that the player may be taken in by the Jacksonville Jaguars who are having a very tough season, but Jaguars owner, Shahid Kahn, just laughed at the idea, according to TMZ.

Popularity at all-time high

Despite Tim Tebow not having a solid career track as a pro football player, the athlete’s popularity as a celebrity is at an all-time high. According to Sports Illustrated, Tebow has never been in higher demand. The need for him though is not coming from the NFL but a different sport – Rugby.

One door closes, an Olympic Rugby door opens for @TimTebow – we should talk about our global game,” USA Rugby CEO, Nigel Melville tweeted when the NFL player was released from the Patriots last September.

Melville has not reached out directly to Tebow just yet, said Sports Illustrated, but has already sent feelers and has spoken to people from Tebow’s camp. The sports executive extended an open invitation for the former first-round pick of the Broncos to give the sports a try, reported Sports Illustrated.

“He would be a very impactful player,” said Melville, speaking with the sports magazine. Sports Illustrated noted that his unique athleticism would likely make him an instant star on the rugby pitch.

It was Tebow’s athleticism that inspired Patriots coach Bill Belichick to take on Tebow for the Pats camp. And though he didn’t make the roster, there is evidence that the NFL player is actually a better athlete than any other running back or tight end that the Pats had in camp.

This type of attention to Tebow has only fueled his fame and popularity. It was recently reported that a Russian team called the Moscow Black Storm offered to pay the former NFL quarterback $1 million to play two games. The offer is proof that Tebow’s celebrity is still open for some revenue.

According to BusinesWeek.com, Tim Tebow’s name recognition has increased about 85% in September 2013, an increased compared to the 76% when the same survey was made last January 2012.
