‘The Expendables 3’ Sylvester Stallone All Praise For Jason Statham, Arnie; Still Considers Bruce Willis A Friend After Rift

In an interview for his film with Arnold Schwarzenegger (Arnie) titled "Escape Plan," Stallone has major props for Jason Statham, his co-star in "The Expendables 3."

The former Rocky Balboa narrates an incident on The Expendables location shoot.

"The truck went to the bottom of the river taking the camera crew and the camera crane.

We lost a million dollars of equipment in a moment and Jason was unbelievable because he's in heavy boots and swam to the top.

He was cool. He cleaned off. A lot of people would have said, 'I'm done'."

Stallone added: "I'm just telling you how dangerous this is. This isn't a little going into a pond. This was off a 12 foot pier, five foot to the bottom. We had a scene where a truck went out of control and Jason Statham went to the bottom of the river. If all the Expendables had been on that - we were supposed to be on it a minute later - it could have been fatal." He also appeared with co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom he jokingly claims: "Would beat me in a fight."

The same tale of Jason's 'badassery' was related by Terry Crews when he appeared in Jay Leno's talk show.

But not all went well for The Expendables 3. The highly publicized rift between Stallone and Bruce Willis stemmed from Willis' high salary demand. Stallone says he has moved on and it was just money.

"This is just a matter of economics. Bruce has been a lifelong friend. I still consider him a friend, at least on my side. This is something that came out of frustration, but it also turned out okay. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so vocal with it" (quote from Empire magazine)
