Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are dating and the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom dancer couldn’t be happier.

Rumors that have been circulating about a Kate Upton-Maksim Chmerkovskiy romance have been confirmed.

Kate Upton, who shot to stardom as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who made his moves on "Dancing With the Stars" acknowledged their romantic relationship

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 33, gushed about Kate Upton to Us Weekly, saying “She's an amazing person. We have an incredible time together, and, you know, I definitely didn't see that coming and I think neither did she. We enjoy each other's company very much and like I said, she's a great girl that I never thought anything romantic like this could have happened."

Last June, when Maksim Chmerkovskiy was getting cozy with Kate Upton at her 21st birthday, a source shot down the rumors of romance. But in late September Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were photographed holding hands in New York's West Village.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s brother Val, who is Elizabeth Berkley’s dance partner on this season of "DWTS," told Us Weekly "I think she's awesome," he told the mag. "She's a great girl, and we're great friends. She's an incredible chick and we have a great time”

Kate Upton was recently named model of the year.
