For Pokemon X and Y, the Champion turns out to be a character we meet fairly early in the story-Diantha.

"Diantha is a famous movie star beloved by everyone in the Kalos region. She's also a Pokémon Trainer who shows a lot of potential. She may even trade Pokémon with you sometime during your adventure!" says the official description on the Pokemon X and Y website.

But Diantha's true potential emerges towards the endgame, when she is revealed to be the Champion and does battle with you.

For the Pokemon X and Y Champion battle, her team consists of:

Hawlucha [Lvl.64]
Tyrantrum [Lvl.65]
Aurorus [Lvl. 65]
Gourgeist [Lvl.65]
Goodra [Lvl.66]
Gardevoir [Lvl.68]

And as fans slowly make their way through Pokemon X and Y, several Champion battles have been uploaded on YouTube, showcasing Diantha's team, the theme music, and the climax of the 3DS games.
