Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged! Find out the details on how Kanye West picked out the perfect engagement ring for his new fiance Kim Kardashian.

According to E! News, Kanye West was very involved when it came to picking Kim Kardashian's engagement ring.

He turned to jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, a close friend and famous for creating engagement rings for celebrities, including those worn by Blake Lively and Beyoncé.

"Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best," says a rep for Lorraine Schwartz, E! News reports. "He and Lorraine emailed back and forth, and stayed up nights discussing how he wanted it to be. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."

The result of all those long hours and late nights is a huge 15-carat diamond.

"The ring is flawless. Not just internally flawless, it's flawless. It's a D-stone, the best diamond there is, type 2A," the rep added. "It's a perfect cushion cut diamond."

Celebrity jewelry expert Michael O'Connor estimates the ring is worth upwards to $3 million, E! News reports.

Kanye West also put a lot of effort into his proposal to fiance Kim Kardashian.

According to E! News, last night on Kim Kardashian's birthday, Kanye rented out AT&T Park in San Francisco, where he got down on one knee and popped the question. He was accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and the field's jumbo screen, which read: "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!"

After Kim said yes, she and Kanye celebrated with friends and family including the entire Kardashian clan. 

Kim Kardashian posted a photo on her Instagram account of the jumbo screen and her huge sparkling ring, with the caption: "YES!!!"
