‘Parks And Recreation’ Season 6 On Hiatus Until Jan. 9? Adam Scott Reassures On Twitter: ‘Fans Don’t Worry’

Is "Parks and Recreation" season 6 on hiatus until January 9? Adam Scott, who plays Ben Wyatt on "Parks and Recreation," took to his Twitter account to tell fans not to fret just yet about "Parks and Recreation."

As we previously reported, "Parks And Recreation" season 6 is leaving NBC's schedule for three weeks, but it will return.

For the rest of 2013, only four more episodes of "Parks and Recreation" season 6 will air: two on Nov. 14 and two on Nov. 21, Zap2it reports.

The rest of the show's normal Thursday time slots will be taken over by episodes of "The Voice," some football games, a "SNL" Halloween special, "The Sing-Off" and the upcoming live broadcast of "The Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood.

"Parks and Recreation" is slated to return regularly on Thursdays on Jan. 9, at their new time, 8:30.

Fans of the show are not happy about this shake-up, but Adam Scott, who plays Ben Wyatt on "Parks and Rec," took to his Twitter to reassure them that "all is well."

In a series of Twitter posts, Scott said: "Parks&Rec fans don't worry, that Vulture article is misleading--we are not on "hiatus" at all...will still air the same amount of episodes before Xmas as last year, & weren't scheduled to air new eps in Dec anyway...and Parks will be back with Community in a regular time slot at the beginning of Jan. Nothing to see here. All is well."

We'll take your word for it, Scott!

This shake-up will be really frustrating for "Parks and Rec" fans, who won't be able to watch the Halloween episode of season 6 until November 14, which is a little awkward.

US News speculates that the move could simply be a strategy by NBC to use more ratings-friendly programming to bring more viewers to its new Thursday comedies in the 9 p.m. hour, like "Sean Saves the World" and "The Michael J. Fox Show."
