PlayStation App iOS & Android Release Date: Companion App For Sony’ Next-Gen Console Arriving On November 13 In The US

PlayStation App iOS and Android release date has already been confirmed.

Earlier this year, Sony announced that a companion app for the PlayStation 4 will be arriving. And according to a press release by the PS4 maker, PlayStation App for iOS and Android will release before the arrival of the console both in the US and in Europe.

As posted, PlayStation App iOS and Android release date is set for November 13 in the US. Meanwhile, the European PlayStation App iOS and Android release date is slated to happen on November 22.

The PlayStation App will be compatible to iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPad, as well as different mobile Android devices. PlayStation App for iOS and Android provides a "second screen support across various games - including free game The PlayRoom at launch - as well as access to various PSN features, such as friends list and trophies," as posted on The Sixth Axis.

Furthermore, PlayStation App for iOS and Android devices offers direct access to a number of PSN features and information. For instance, a gamer can access his or her own profile screen, as well as compare his and his friends' Trophy accomplishments. Below are some other features PS4 gamers can experience after downloading PlayStation App for iOS and Android device, as listed on the press release posted on The Sixth Axis:

  • Exchange messages between PS4 systems, PlayStation®3 (PS3TM) systems, PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) systems, and mobile devices installed with PlayStation®App.
  • Access and filter friend profiles.
  • Notify users about their friends' shared activities on "What's New".
  • Notify PS4 users when they receive any new notifications or game invitations. Users can also display their lists of game items.

Moreover, PS4 users can also purchase game content on the PlayStation Store through the companion app even while they are away from home and download it directly onto their consoles such as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
