Henry Cavill has certainly set the world ablaze with his appearance as the new Superman in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.” And in a career that has seemingly broken the so-called “Superman curse” for male celebrities portraying the famous character, Henry’s popularity and fan base is headed upward.

HenryCavill.org, a recognized fan site of the Hollywood hunk is asking fans to nominate Henry in three categories in the upcoming People’s Choice Awards. The website has suggested to nominate Henry for “Favorite movie actor,” “Favorite movie duo” with co-star Amy Adams, and “Favorite action movie star.” The website also suggests to vote for “Man of Steel” in “Favorite movie” and “Favorite action movie.”

The People’s Choice Awards, the only major awards show where fans determine the nominess and winners categories for movies, music and television, according to CBS, has announced last Thursday that voting is now open for the 40th annual awards show at PeoplesChoice.com.

Fans can choose their favorites across 54 categories, noted CBS, by making them official nominees until Thursday, October 31, 2013. Top five from each categories will become the official nominee and will be announced next Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 9:00 AM PT at the People’s Choice Awards press conference in The Paley Center for Media in Beverley Hills.

The 40th Annual People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan 8, 2014 and many Henry Cavill fans hope to see the celebrity in its red carpet, in case they succeed nominating.

In a welcome news for many of the actors followers, blogger Perez Hilton spotted Henry Cavill and described him as looking for very Christian Grey-like. Perez Hilton wrote in a post titled, “Henry Cavill Channels His Inner Christian Grey On Set Of His New Film”:

“Henry Cavill was spotted working hard on the set of his new film The Man from U.N.C.L.E in London on Thursday.

The hunky actor was totes in character as he paraded around on camera! He's been working hard and traveling around Europe for his new film.”

The British actor plays a CIA agent from the early 60s in the “Man from U.N.C.L.E” and the popular entertainment blog exclaims that he looks sharp and sexy in his grey suit.

It is important to note that many have floated the actor to be a contender for the role of Christian Grey in the highly anticipated book to film adaptation of the Fifty Shades of Grey.
