Kellan Lutz ‘Twilight’ Created YouTube Video To Support Bulgarian NGO Focused On Taking Care Of Stray Dogs, ‘I Can’t Just Stand By & Do Nothing’ [WATCH IT HERE]

Kellan Lutz of “Twilight” fame, whose currently filming the multi-million dollar action epic movie “Hercules” in Bulgaria is using his reach and fame to support a local NGO committed to taking care of stray dogs.

“After seeing the many stray dogs in Bulgaria, myself & the cast of “Hercules - The Legend Begins” couldn’t stand by and not do something to help Animal Rescue Sofia,” wrote the actor on his official Facebook Page.

“Please watch and share, team. Every action we take, no matter how small, helps in the greater good.”

Animal Rescue Sofia, according to it’s website is a “young Bulgarian organization founded by a group of volunteers with a common goal – solving the stray dogs and cats problem in Sofia.” The organization currently manages the largest dog shelter in the country, where it takes care of 500 dogs and offer free spraying and neutering at the clinic.

In the 5 minute and 54 seconds video Kellan Lutz and the cast of the upcoming action movie bills the issue of solving the stray dog in the country as one that requires a “Herculean effort.”

“Disturbed by the sight of so many stray dogs along the streets of Sofia, Bulgaria the cast of ‘Hercules: The Legend Begins’, visit Animal Rescue Sofia in an effort to raise much need funds to keep the shelter open. The goal is to raise 210,000 euro by the end of the year in order to buy a new facility, after losing the lease of their current building.”

The video has so far racked up more than 6,000 views since Kellan posted about it.
