Ian Somerhalder Twitter Vent Shows Indignation On Shooting After LAX Incident, ‘Can We Stop Shooting Each Other’ Wrote ‘Vampire Diaries’ Actor

Ian Somerhalder’s twitter account shows his righteous anger against senseless gun shooting, an event that transpired yet again today at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The incident came at the heels of multiple news of deaths from gun violence for the past few weeks.

“Can we stop shooting each other??? Dammit! 3 days ago shooting in my neighborhood now LAX? [expletive],” tweeted the film and TV actor.

According to Hollywood Life, the shooting seemed to really hit home for many celebs who spend a good amount of their time in airports. James Franco, 35, posted an image of himself on a plane at LAX to Instagram after the shots were fired. “At #lax Some s** tbag shot up the place,” the actor included in his post.

Kelly Osbourne, Josh Groban, Sarah Silverman and a host of other celebrities also expressed sincere disgust with the events that took place at Los Angeles Friday.

CNN reports that one TSA employee is dead and multiple people are injured after a man fired shots at the airport right before security checkpoint. Twenty-three year-old Paul Anthony Cianca was in possession of a high-powered rifle and began firing shots, killing a TSA employee and injuring many others. He was later apprehended, shot and arrested by police. Cianca is now being held in custody.

A celebrity who is known in Hollywood as a concerned citizen, Ian Somerhalder is the founder of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, whose mission is to “empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.”
