CMA Or G.O.P.? Parade Of Stars At The 2013 Country Music Awards Take Turns Mocking Obamacare

CMA Awards 2013: Country singers ripped into ObamaCare as much as they ripped into their songs on the Country Music Awards last night.

The 47th Annual 2013 Country Music Association Awards at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., looked like a GOP convention as country music’s biggest stars tried to crash the ObamaCare Healthcare.gov website.

Brad Paisley, who hosted the 2013 CMA Awards told Carrie Underwood, the co-host, that his back hurt and he needed to see a doctor. Underwood asked if Paisley was signed up for ObamaCare.

A confused Paisley asked “ObamaCare, what’s that?”

Carrie Underwood explained “Oh, it’s great. I started signing up last Thursday and I’m almost done!” Underwood then helped Brad Paisley fill in the forms and “join the six other people” who signed up for ObamaCare.

The CMA Awards 2013 audience clapped along with George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning,” as he changed the words to “ObamaCare by morning/ Why’s this taking so long?/ I’m going to end up with hemorrhoids/If I sit here ’til dawn.” George Strait won the entertainer of the year award. “King of Country” George Strait announced his final tour this year.

Taylor Swift took home the biggest award of the night for her “Red” album.
