Allkpop Denies Accusations Their VP Daniel Lee Leaked Unauthorized Nude Photos Of His Ex-Girlfriend Ailee

Executives from the Korean entertainment website allkpop and its parent company 6Theory Media are denying accusations that their vice president of content Daniel Lee leaked nude photos of the singer Ailee to the website on Sunday without her permission.

In a blistering statement released on Monday by Ailee's record label YMC Entertainment, Lee, who used to date the 24-year-old singer, was accused of providing allkpop with unauthorized nude shots she had taken in an attempt to land an underwear modeling job.

According to the record label, Ailee consulted Lee about what she should do once she realized the modeling job offer had been a scam.

The allkpop VP allegedly asked her to send him the photos so he would be better able to advise her.

"After reporting the incident to the police, Ailee, who felt deeply worried and uneasy, visited her previous boyfriend, who was working at allkpop, and told him everything and consulted him about what happened," the YMC statement read.

" Ailee was persuaded by him to send him the pictures from the shoot."

According to 6Theory Media's response, the photos were already published online by a Canadian resident who originally attempted to sell them to the website and Lee is being falsely accused.

"In light of recent events, we felt a clarification on YMC Entertainment's accusations against Daniel Lee and allkpop were necessary," the 6Theory Media statement read.

"Back on June 28, an individual claiming to be from Canada sent in a tip to us that he had a 'set of Ailee nude scandal pictures' and that he would sell them to allkpop for the right offer.

"The person in question stated that he was a person acting as a middleman between the original owner and sent us a sample photo 'for proof,'" the statement published Monday on allkpop added.

"He wanted to meet at an undisclosed location where he would provide us all the photos in exchange of $3,500 in cash. At this time, we stated that we were not interested, and this person said he would contact another [media outlet]."

6Theory Media execs claim they informed YMC of the exchange but the label reps laughed it off.

Allkpop's editors allegedly claimed they would hold off on publishing the photos, but told YMC that if the photos were published elsewhere online they would no choice but to run them on the site.

On Sunday, allkpop's editorial staff allegedly received an anonymous tip that Ailee's nude photos had been published.

"The tip came from what we believe is the same informant that originally contacted us in June, as both IP addresses are from the same ISP in Toronto, Canada. At this point, the photos were on the Internet and we made the decision to run the story, as it is our policy to report on the truth," 6Theory's statement read.

"For full disclosure, our employee, Daniel Lee did date Ailee in the past, however he did not post the photos in question. Not knowing whom the true culprit was, YMC turned the blame to the easiest target. Common sense should also tell you that you do not send in nude photos for underwear modeling. Although Ailee is a victim, so is Daniel Lee, as false allegations were made by YMC, defaming our employee."

The allkpop publishers claim they have email correspondence with the real culprit that can prove Lee's innocence.
