Prince Harry will be away from his girlfriend Cressida Bonas while he joins one of three teams of wounded servicemen and women attempting to trek to the geographic South Pole, The Daily Beast reports.
According to The Daily Beast, the Kensington Palace confirmed the final details of Prince Harry's adventure this morning.
The challenge will consist of three seven-man teams from the UK, Commonwealth and USA - each with four wounded team members.
They will head for Cape Town this Sunday. Then they will fly from Cape Town to Novolazarevskaya Station, Antarctica on 19th November, where they will spend a few days acclimatizing to the Antarctic temperature. Once acclimatized, the teams will fly to 87° south, where they will spend further time acclimatizing to the altitude.
The expedition to the South Pole will begin from 87° south on 30th November, with the teams hoping to reach the geographic South Pole by 16th December, The Daily Beast reports.
This means that Prince Harry will be back from his trip just in time for Christmas, hopefully to enjoy the holidays with his girlfriend Cressida Bonas.
As we previously reported, the royal and Bonas have spent a considerable amount of time together recently: they enjoyed several public dates, including watching "The Book of Mormon" musical together and an intimate James Blunt gig. Cressida Bonas also spent a reportedly romantic weekend with Prince Harry at the Queen's Sandringham estate, The Daily Mail reports.
Recently, the media has speculated that Prince Harry and Cressida are getting engaged soon, with people taking bets that another royal wedding will occur next year.
