Prior to their July single release, 2NE1 announced their plan to release a single every month in a relay style. They did release two number one singles in July and August consecutively but has been largely silent since then. It seems that they are getting back on track.

2NE1 did not originally plan to perform for the MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), but since have changed their minds and plan to appear and perform on stage. Many people are seeing the move as a way to introduce a new single to an international audience.

Adding to that speculation is the fact that a few fans witnessed the filming of the music video for the upcoming single. When every variable is factored in, it is likely that 2NE1 will release their album a week prior to their MAMA performance.

YG Entertainment has been known to be notoriously secretive about releasing singles, sometimes confirming the existence of the single as the single is released. They have recently gone mum about 2NE1, which is a dead-on giveaway.

2NE1 came back in the summer with a dance song and a reggae song, so their next genre is hard to determine. What we do know is that 2NE1 will bring their own unique style into the mix.

2NE1 recently finished their World Tour, so they will be looking to appeal to their international fans as well with their upcoming single.
