Kindle Fire HDX 7 Now Available In The UK, Pricing Begins At £199

Amazon is slowly making its presence felt in the Android competition with another tablet device. Dubbed as the Kindle Fire HDX 7, the slate has already gone on sale in the United Kingdom, with prices starting at £199 for the 16GB ad-supported version.

In case you want the ad-free version, you would need to add £10 more.

On the other hand, the 32GB variant will arrive in the UK, but on a later date. According to GSM Arena, that date is on November 27 and it will retail for £269 for the ad-supported model.

In case you haven't heard of this slate, the Kindle Fire HDX 7 features most of the things that consumers love in previous releases, including the unique design.

The tablet runs on the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset so expect no hiccups in homescreen transitions and running applications. It also comes with its own Amazon OS, which looks like a highly customized Android Jelly Bean platform. However, Play Store is restricted and the only means to purchase anything is through Amazon.

Meanwhile, the tablet's bigger sibling, the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 will arrive in the UK on November 19 at £329.
