Pokemon X And Y [VIDEOS]: The Lumiose Ghost Girl And Fan Theories!

Pokemon X and Y have been released, and one particular mystery of the 3DS releases continues to intrigue and unnerve fans: The Lumiose Ghost Girl!

The Lumiose Ghost Girl is a mysterious character within Pokemon X and Y players can encounter within Lumiose City sometimes. Upon entering the correct building, the music stops, the screen flashes, and the Lumiose Ghost Girl will float across the screen saying, "No, you're not the one..."

Players can also enter the Lumiose Ghost Girl again on the 4th floor of the hotel in Lumiose City. This time she says, "Don't talk to me...if you do, I won't hear the elevator."

This particular Pokemon X and Y mystery has even been featured in the Official Nintendo Magazine, yet no one seems to know exactly what the Lumiose Ghost Girl does within the game. After all, it can't just be there purely to creep out players, can it?

According to Kotaku, one theory about the Lumiose Ghost Girl is that she is looking for a player with a specific Trainer ID, which means it could be a long time before anyone discovers her true potential.

Another theory is that she is somehow tied to the hidden message in the Lumiose City train station which reads, "I'm going to go for help. Wait in the usual place."

"My theory is that this will be some kind of event. It acquires you to wear something special or do something special and probably get access to capture a legendary Pokemon," writes AnasLinguini on YouTube.

"Since Darkrai is the Pokemon of nightmares, maybe this girl is having nightmares? This is my thought though and it may be wrong."

What do you think is the deal with the Lumiose Ghost Girl in Pokemon X and Y?
