Primary's Agency Amoeba Culture in Talks with Caro Emerald's Producer David Schreurs to Clear Up 'I Got C' Plagiarism Controversy

Primary, his agency Amoeba Culture, and Caro Emerald's producer seem to be well on their way to reaching an understanding about the recent alleged plagiarism with the song "I Got C."

David Schreurs, who produced Dutch singer Caro Emerald's "Liquid Lunch," tweeted on November 19 that the song Korean rapper Primary is accused of plagiarizing, "I Got C," should not be penalized.

After the recent accusation that Primary had copied elements of three Caro Emerald songs for use in his track with Kim Myung Soo for the Infinite Challenge Music Festival, the producer had originally stated in an interview with South Korean media outlet Dispatch, "The elements he uses are clearly copied from out songs and arrangements."

Schreurs, however, seems to have changed his mind after discussing the matter further with Amoeba Culture.

Primary's agency confirmed that the two parties are working toward an agreement.

"As we expressed, our intention is to work to come to an amiable agreement," explained a statement from Amoeba Culture. "We are currently in talks with Caro Emerald's producer about this issue."

In the meantime, the Infinite Challenge has halted online sales of "I Got C" until Primary is completely cleared of the plagiarism charges.

While the matter is far from over, both parties appear to have resigned themselves to coming together on common ground.

Amoeba Culture however, added, "It is too early to comment on anything related to the matter. As the resolution becomes clearer, we will release another statement."

It is likely that genuine agreement will be reached soon as even from the beginning of the scandal, Caro Emerald's producer seemed to have no real hard feelings toward Primary and said, "I would like to say that Primary sounds like a talented producer... he should start trusting his own talent because he sure is a good producer."
