Daesung speaks up about his car accident last May 31, 2011. Daesung shared about his feelings of hearing the death of the victim on SBS ‘Healing Camp’ on February 20, “I never thought this would happen to me personally. I had no idea. All that I could think is how sorry I was. I was sorry about everything.”

He revealed that the people who gave him the most encouragement at that time when he was engulfed with guilt was “Big Bang members, parents who stayed by my side and also the family members of the deceased.”

“They were angry at me at the funeral. That’s natural. After some time passed the older brother and aunt of the deceased came to visit me,” continued Daesung.

“They told me that they don’t wish for me [Daesung] to hide and disappear. They comforted me saying ‘I wish that we can meet each other later with smiling faces.’ As they comforted I felt more comfort which made me feel sorry and thankful,” shared Daesung. He decided to send people smiles and hope receiving the comfort of the deceased family.

When asked what he realized after the accident he said, “I felt that I got into an accident when I forgot how thankful I should be about my work. I will try even harder to give more joy and improvement.” Continuing on “I wish that everyone would be pleased by this and if my activities that I do even give hope to even one person then I will still go on even earning a bad reputation,” he added.
