The group released an apology on February 20 on their official fan café and released a video apology on February 23, however despite these actions netizens are holding Block B's suicide petition.
Fans are in an uproar with improper translations stating, "Block B never ever said what you wrote. You made many people think block b are jackasses when in fact you are the one spreading lies. Block B said that they understood the pain and hope that all the victims and affected areas will be recovered very soon. One of their members asked them athe leader ( blonde haired guy) " how much do you have at the moment?" leader replied " 7000 won (6 dollars) ". he meant, he only has 6 dollars in his pocket at the moment. He did not say he would only donate that much."
Fans have posted comments stating, "There was nothing greatly immoral about Block B's words... The interview has been mistranslated and edited to put block b in a negative light. Granted their actions have been less than serious and were not suitable. But they were hardly being immoral. Not careful enough at most. I don't believe that there is a singleperson who, when with a group of friends has not jokingly said something bad about someone else or a whole group of people even. Are these people immoral then? Even when at other points in their lives they have sincerely tried to aid the underprivileged and the suffering? What is immoral is the group of people requesting the death of these young men."
Fans are stating that Block B has made a mistake however it was blown out of proportion as people have taken what a single boy group has stated. It's been noted that a member stated in the interview that they will donate a half of their income. Fans have been stating that although they were thoughtless in their words it has been distorted and exaggerated. There is continuous criticism on their impudent attitude.
Although the actions of Block B can be considered severe the members have apologized and do not deserve this harsh treatment.
