The reason is because of the dignity of American Idol. The show is survival music program to find a new artist where winner is determined by viewers, the program that began in 2002, each episode nears 30% rating. There has been several pop star came forth including Kelly Clarkson the winner of first season.

With 2NE1 won MTV Iggy's Best New Band 2011 and recently Girls' Generation appeared on major U.S. television it's true that K-pop is becoming an interest for many. It's proven by the continuously high YouTube view and MTV has each launched a K-Pop section.

It might be that Heejun Han's achievement is notable to pay close attention reflecting in K-Pop wind, however one thing is certain is that Heejin Han is showing a great excellent image. There are several music lovers who even imagine Heejun Han to win American Idol and for the K-Pop idol groups in the US that are rushing for American debut to have a cultural influence in America. In fact Heejun Han has been noted by the local media to be said "one of the top winning candidate" and was praised by Stevey Tyler of 'Aerosmith' one of American idol's judge as "Heejun Han is indeed the next American Idol."

It's interesting to see if he can break the precedent of not having an Asian winner and to become the next Jeremy Lin in music.
