'K-Pop Star' Kim Na Yoon Receives Harsh Criticism

Kim Na Yoon performed Hwang Hyu Young's "I don't have a problem" on a live episode of 'Survival Audition K-Pop Star'.

Regarding Kim Na Yoon's performance, judge BoA stated, "It was amazing to see how confident you were while singing but your singing wasn't smooth at all". The other judges also did not respond to her performance too positively.

If the judges responded that way, what would the original artist of the song say about Kim Na Yoon's performance?

Hwang Gyu Young stated, "I hesitated when I watched Kim Na Yoon's performance. It got to the point where I wanted to sing it for her instead." and "Maybe it was because she was singing while she was cheer-leading but she missed a lot of notes and voice was very exaggerated that I questioned myself 'is that the same song?'. It was a shame that the song wasn't even able to touch the audience. Park Jin Young's response expressed exactly how i felt."

He added, "I'm sure it was a very hard stage for an amateur. It was a live performance in front of a live audience. To dance and sing live is a very hard thing to do. It's hard for professional singers. That is probably why she wasn't able to sing to her ability."

He ended his interview with, "It is a very hard song to sing. I think her performance suffered because she didn't realize how hard the song really is. I hope Kim Na Yoon will gain strength from the song and become an amazing singer."
