Duck Dynasty Cast Phil Robertson’s Life Saved By Interventions [watch video]– I Am Second Film Reveals How He Went From Zero To Hero For His Family

Duck Dynasty Cast Phil, Jep and Reed reveal how they were able to overcome drug abuse, infidelity, rebellion and even suicidal ideation in their 30-minute "I Am Second" film.

The fans of "Ducky Dynasty" are mostly aware of Phil Robertson's declaration, but this time around with "I Am Second" debut, Miss Kay shares her point of view on how the Robertson's patriarch dealt with his problems and how did accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord saved his life.

Viewers of "Duck Dynasty" will also witness Jep, the youngest son of Phil and Miss Kay, and Jase and Missy's eldest son Reed's revelation for the first time.

Phil with the help of Miss Kay talks about his childhood in Louisiana, how he met his then 14-year old future wife, and how their lives became miserable when he went to Louisiana Tech on a football scholarship.

"What I saw was, Phil who had never drank before, started drinking. It was scary to me. The drinking got worse. He would be mad and would be in and out like a flash," Miss Kay reveals as how she struggles as a young mother and a wife to an unfaithful husband, one who's not only drinking but was also into drugs."I knew then, but didn't want to believe it, he was running around on me."

The "Duck Dynasty" cast Phil and Miss Kay headed to Arkansas after Phil graduated and decided he did not want to teach anymore. He convinced his wife that he would manage a bar, which he believes would provide a better financial stability for them.

On the other hand, Miss Kay who abstained from alcohol was forced to become a barmaid in support of her husband's ambition.

Phil abandoned Miss Kay and their three kids for four months to evade the law, when he got into a fight with the bar's owners and sent one in the hospital.

Miss Kay and her three sons decided to go back to Louisiana where they started attending church. Phil came back, unfortunately he was still the same drunk and unfaithful husband.

"He became more and more mean and mean spirited. And I would tell my sons, that's not your daddy. That's the devil in your daddy," she explained.

Phil revealed that, "the low point is when I ran Miss Kay and the kids off [kicking them out of their house]."

"You're all alone, no hope, miserable. That's when I began to contemplate, 'Is there a way out of all this?'"

That's when the "Duck Dynasty" cast Phil realized how his life is leading to an utter devastation, a life where he is hurting himself and those that who loved him. He then finally decided to talk to a man of God, who had tried to save his life year earlier together with his sister.

"I sat down with this guy and he said, 'Phil, what do you think the Gospel is?' I didn't know what the Gospel of Jesus was. ... I was blown away when I heard that Jesus died for me and was buried and raised from the dead."

Miss Kay, Alan, Jase and Willie returned home and to their surprise they saw a note on the table saying that Phil had gone to the church.

"We headed in there and when we got into the auditorium, I just stopped, because there he was, up in the baptistery. I heard Phil say, 'I want to make Jesus the Lord of my life. I want to follow Him from this day forward.' I looked down at each one of the boys, tears were rolling down their eyes, even 3-year-old Willie. They said, 'My daddy's saved, my daddy's saved, my daddy's saved.' They were so happy. It was a complete family then."

Since then, the "Duck Dynasty" cast Phil never looked back from his sinful ways, started following the teachings of Christ, and "started trying to be good."
