Willie Nelson Bus Crash;Three Band Members Injured, One Seriously; Tour Cancelled (Video)

Willie Nelson's tour bus crashed in stormy conditions on their way to a gig. Three band members were injured in the Willie Nelson tour bus crash. Robert Paul English, who has been Willie Nelson's drummer since 1956, broke his hip. Willie Nelson wrote the song "Me and Paul" about him. Broken hips are extremely dangerous for older people. Willie wasn't on board the bus at the time. The tour has been postponed indefinitely.

At 3:30 this morning, Willie Nelson's band's tour bus slammed into a bridge pillar on I-30 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Robert Paul English sustained a broken hip, Billy Jean English and Thomas Ray Hawkins sustained minor injuries. The three injured musicians were taken to a hospital in Sulphur Springs.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper and spokeswoman Sylvia Jennings, not related to Waylon, said the injured men were taken to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, about 80 miles outside of Dallas.

Willie took to Facebook to break the news: "Willie Nelson's band bus (not Willie's bus) was in an accident overnight on icy I-30. 3 members of the family were hospitalized. Additional information will be released as we get it."

AP reported that seven people were on board at the time of the accident. Texas Department of Puplic Safety confirmed there were wet roads and high winds at the time of the crash. There was significant damage to the bus.

Willie Nelson had 14 dates scheduled for 2013, before a month-long break in January.

According to the website, Nelson was scheduled to perform at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Miss., on Saturday night and in Jackson, Mississippi, on Sunday.
