K-Pop Crossover: G-Dragon Duet with Justin Bieber Is Just The Latest Collaboration The Kpop Star Revealed For His New Album; Will Also Sing With Missy Elliot and Other Stars

G-Dragon announced a Justin Bieber duet for an upcoming single yesterday. The Kpop star has been collaborating with a lot of artists lately. G-Dragon also cornered Missy Elliott when she was in Korea recently. G-Dragon and Missy Elliot teamed up on stage and in the studio.

G-Dragon performed with the hip-hop superstar Missy Elliot last month at the two-day K-pop festival KCON in Los Angeles. G-Dragon and Missy Elliott performed the song "Niliria."

G-Dragon met Justin Bieber with Kpop icon PSY when the Bieb performed in Korea. The leader of the Seoul quintet Big Bang has been making the news with A-list collaborations with international superstars like Missy Elliott and Diplo.

At the press conference of 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards at the Asia World Expo Arena in Hong Kong on November 22, 2013, K-pop artist G-Dragon announced he will collaborate with global pop star Justin Bieber on a new song. The track should drop out sometime next year.

G-Dragon said "Bieber has finished recording his part and it's my turn to work on it. "I'd rather put it as a fun collaboration between two artists being of one mind than a big project, it is more comfortable for me to do it that way."

2013 MAMA is in its fifth edition this year. This year features K-pop acts Big Bang, EXO, 2NE1, INFINITE, Lee Hyori, Rain and pop stars Stevie Wonder, Paris Hilton, Ylvis, Icona Pop and Hong Kong actor Aron Kwok.

G-Dragon partnered with Missy Elliott while she was at the KCON K-pop conference in Los Angeles on August 24 and 25. She show was taped for South Korean show M Countdown.

G-Dragon recently announced that he is also thinking of teaming up onstage with the performers that make up Team A and Team B on the South Korean reality TV competition "Win: Who Is Next?" G-Dragon has said the show looks like "a real battlefield." An executive for YG Entertainment, which runs "Win: Who Is Next," told Star News "G-Dragon recently expressed to the agency his interest in the contestants of 'WIN' featuring on stage with him for his new single. We were also surprised by G-Dragon's special love for [the contestants]."
