South Korean singer Ailee appeared upbeat while accepting her 2013 Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) in the category of Best Female Vocal Performance at Friday's televised ceremony in Hong Kong.

Dressed in a high-cut black and while ensemble that stood in stark contrast to the revealing outfits many of her fellow female stars were wearing, Ailee dedicated the award to her fans, affectionately referred to as 'Aileeans.'

"First of all I'd like to thank every Aileean, every fan out there that's been with me every step of the way," said the 24-year-old singer. "Thank you so much!"

Ailee's upbeat acceptance speech was a strong departure from her appearance at last week's MelOn Music Awards in South Korea.

Falling only six days after the website allkpop published unauthorized nude photos of the singer, Ailee broke down in tears after accepting her MelOn Top 10 Award.

As the MelOn Music Awards crowd of 10,000 chanted her name in support, Ailee humbly thanked her fans between the tears.

"I want to say I love you and thank you to all the people and fans that have supported and loved me no matter what happened," she said.

According to a representative from the singer's record label YMC Entertainment, the outpouring of emotion at the MelOn Music Awards had been too much for the singer to bear.

"After Ailee started crying on the stage, all the tears that she's been holding back burst. She couldn't control her tears even on her way home," the rep told the publication eNEWS.

"I think all the hardship she held in her heart exploded. All the support from so many people moved her heart."

The problems for Ailee began when her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lee, vice president of content for the website allkpop and its parent company 6Theory Media, allegedly leaked nude photos of the singer to his employer.

In an interview last week with the publication "One Night of TV Entertainment," Lee insisted he did was not allkpop's source for the photos.

"A misunderstanding happened and I can only say sorry about it," he said. "But what I want to say is that I did not leak the photos."
