Upcoming Android Phones 2013: Samsung Unveils Galaxy Grand 2, Boasts Note 3-Design, 5.25" LCD Display, Quad-Core CPU, Dual-SIM Support

Last year, Samsung released a fairly huge phone with midrange level specs, and a lot of consumers bought the idea. Now, the Korean company adds to the upcoming Android phones in 2013 with the announcement of the Galaxy Grand 2.

At a glance, the Galaxy Grand 2 strikingly resembles the Galaxy Note 3, thanks to the stitching pattern and the leather back. But once you use it, any seasoned gadget enthusiast would surely know the difference.

The newly-announced phablet sports a 5.25-inch LCD screen with 1280x780p resolution, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and an 8GB internal memory. If you think that does not fit your storage needs, the microSD slot is a welcomed option.

For cameraphone enthusiasts, the Galaxy Grand 2 still has the old but still capable 8MP shooter at the back, dual-SIM support, a huge 2,600mAh battery, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.

As far as dimensions are concerned, GSM Arena reports that the newer version is slightly wider than the original, but that would not cause too much trouble.

The report also states that the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 would be available in white, black, and pink depending on the region.
