YG Artists Sweep YouTube K-Pop View Count

YG Entertainment's artists took the top six most viewed K-Pop music videos of the week.

In a rare feat, YG's artists including PSY, G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP, and 2NE1 have registered the top six spots for a week on the weekly K-POP MV Chart Top 20 published by YouTube for the week of November 18th to November 25th.

The 1st place went to 2NE1's "Missing You" who registered more than 5 million views in the first week of release. CL's nude scene and the fact that the song took the top spots in every Korean music charts certainly helped its cause. Billboard charts noted that CL's nude scene was more emotional and well-fitted for the scene than Miley Cyrus' performance on the "Wrecking Ball" music video.

The 2nd place was taken by international superstar PSY's "Gangnam Style", which is nearing its 2 billion view mark.

The 3rd place went to TOP's "DOOM DADA". He only performed the song once at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, but the song has become a sensation. The song's message carries TOP's opinion about the mass media, and the music video is likewise expressive and artistic. It's surpassed 4 million views since launching.

The 4th place was also taken by PSY with his second international hit, "Gentleman". The view count is almost up to 600 million since launch.

The 5th spot was Taeyang's "RINGA LINGA" which had a little more than 6 million views since launch, while his groupmate G-Dragon took the 6th spot with the music video for "WHO YOU" that received over 3 million views. The music video for "WHO YOU" was filmed with a thousand fans with the idea that was suggested by a fan.

Besides the top six spots, five more YG artist' songs took were featured in the top 20. YG's international popularity was made apparent thought this poll.
