YG "Only Idols That Have Differentiation Will Remain "

The representative of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk briefly mentioned several things regarding K-Pop.

Representative Yang shared about the K-Pop’s training system that has raised many of the popular talented groups in an interview with Donga Daily News on March 22. He shared, “Education of idol group became standardized like the school. There are too many of similar group, this doesn’t correlate to the successful impact in the market. I think it’s in transition time, idol groups that don't have any differentiation will disappear."

K-Pop sensation could start from good system of raising musicians for idol groups incorporating experiences from the past. But some are questioning whether K-Pop is now taking a downward plunge.

Representative Yang stated, "Some artists will grow even bigger, some will stay behind. It's a competition. K-Pop sensation just started 2 years ago and has been growing at a rapid pace. For those who are partially invested will fail, while those who have more competitiveness will succeed.”

Yang Hyun Suk is the representative of an entertainment company that has raised such K-Pop sensation as Big Bang and 2NE1 who are now leading the worldwide movement. Also he is a former member of Seo Taiji & Boys that is remembered as a historical group that brought out the cultural revolution in K-Pop history.

As Seo Taeji & Boys greets their 20th anniversary on March 23rd, he said "There was no such group like Seo Taiji & Boys. The group itself was revolutionary. It was very shocking, refreshing and there was an explosive popularity due to the social message that was portrayed through their music. Another group like Seo Taeji & Boys should come to have further development in K-Pop."

He added "By the way the singers that public wish for will emerge even without the worry of many people.”
