San E Debuts At Number 1 On The Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 With 'Break Up Dinner' Featuring Sanchez Of Phantom

After a November that saw the top slots of the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 dominated by soundtrack songs and pop ballads, rapper San E made a big splash this week, debuting at number one with his single "Break Up Dinner" featuring vocals by Sanchez of the group Phantom.

In "Break Up Dinner," San E asks his ex-girlfriend to meet him for one last date. With lines that alternate between the heartbreaking and the hilarious, the song enters territory that few rap songs dare to tread.

San E co-wrote wrote "Break Up Dinner" with the artists Assbrass and Xepy.

Coming in at number two is "Missing You," the new single by girl group 2NE1.

The single, the only other song to debut in the top 10 this week, also topped the South Korean chart Melon's real-time chart and the Instiz daily iChart.

After jumping to number one on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 last week, following a debut at number 69, vocal duo Davichi's new single "This Letter" fell to number three this week.

The song reunited Davichi bandmates Lee Haeri and Kang Minkyung with songwriter Jeon Hae Sung, who composed the duo's chart-topping single "Don't Say Goodbye."

Meanwhile, Sung Si Kyung's cover of the 1993 song "To You" by K-pop pioneers Seo Taiji and Boys continues to linger in the Billboard K-pop top five.

After a month on the chart, Sung's version of "To You" is at number four.

Jumping up one place from its debut last week at number six on the Billboard chart, "Lie Lie Lie" by singer-songwriter Lee Juck is currently at number five.

The melancholy single deals with strong emotional content, according to a statement released by Juck's record label Loen Entertainment.

"The lyrics are about being abandoned by a lover, feeling loss, blame and resentment," the label wrote, according to the online publication Soompi.

"[Lee Juck] thought about a child being left at playground by himself."
