Singing a Christmas carol is Seulgi, who is incredibly beautiful and evokes a fairy princess persona.
Seulgi's sweet personality is also endearing in the teaser for Sweet Cake, which evokes the sentimentality of the holiday season.
The flower boy amongst the S.M. Rookie's whose photos have been released is Tae Yong (not to be confused with Big Bang's Taeyang). Tae Yong is also drawing attention from net users and audiences for his youthful appearance and fascinating looks. Fans of SM Entertainment were surprised to receive this holiday gift in the announcement of the new rookies, while they wait for the upcoming release of EXO's Miracles in December.
In juxtaposition of past expectations for K-Pop artists, fans have already inquired as to the talent of Tae Yong and Jeno, since the teasers of Seulgi were the first to be released. In contrast to YG Entertainment who has derived Lee Hi and Akdong Musician from the popular audition program, Kpop Star and who has tested trainees through the successful program WIN, audiences have been unfamiliar with SM Entertainment's trainees. YG Entertainment has also been prominently featuring trainee Jenny Kim on releases for artists Lee Hi, Seungri, and G-Dragon. JYP Entertaiment has also recently released a single from their rookie group, 5Live, which debuted on the Pretty Man OST Part 1 with Lovely Girl. Aside from the teaser of Seulgi, it will be interesting to see what her true vocal capacity is.
December has proven to be a strong month for SM Entertainment, with the upcoming SM Week at the end of the month, the holiday album for EXO, and EXO's reality program EXO Showtime. With S.M. Culture and Contents acquisition of Woollim Entertainment, SM Entertainment can also celebrate the recent accomplishments of INFINITE and the comeback of the talented K-Pop twins, Tasty. As the year concludes, it is obvious that the agency intends on going out with a bang.
