[Review] Expectations for Nine Muses 'Glue' Music Video Don't Stick

Nine Muses have finally made their comeback with the music video for "Glue."

On December 4 Star Empire Entertainment's sexy girl group Nine Muses officially released the highly anticipated video for their latest single "Glue."

Since the announcement of the new single on November 17, the group has been unveiling ultra-sexy teaser images of the members and amped fans up for their return with the mention that the music video for "Glue" would carry with it a '25+' maturity rating.

It is becoming more and more common these days for K-Pop videos to earn the tag 'for mature audiences only,' signified by a broadcasting label of '19+'.  So when Nine Muses said their release would be even more risque, interest was piqued.

However, the "Glue" music video released today does not seem like anything out of the ordinary, it is rather straight forward, in fact.

The ladies are seen in albeit sexy outfits, but nothing overly revealing that would merit a legitimate mature rating. The choreography, too, is nothing to write home about.

When the single was announced last month, Star Empire said that fans should "look forward to the dramatic transformation of Nine Muses." For all the energy Star Empire put into early promotions for "Glue", they definitely fell short.

Taken as a whole, the "Glue" music video is rather boring as it follows a very standard format - matching outfits, lines of easy to replicate dance moves, close ups of pretty faces - there is nothing dramatic about it.

The song itself is about women relating to other women on the topic of lost love and loneliness - that desire to "stick like glue" to the one you love.

As for that '25+ rating,' Star Empire revealed that it was more about raising the maturity level of the group than an actual warning. The agency claims the notion comes from the fact that the average age of the members is now 25, and that fans can expect the girls to take on more adult themes in the future.
