YotaPhone Release Begins In Russia And Some Parts Of Europe, 2nd-Gen Model Allegedly In The Works Already

Let's all admit that we were highly intrigued by the dual-screen display of the YotaPhone release when it was announced a couple of months ago. Now, it is finally making its way to Russia, and other countries in Europe.

According to a report by Android Authority, pricing for the device begins at 19,980 rubles in Russia, and €499 in Europe, which is about $600 to 675.

In case you haven't heard of the YotaPhone yet, it sports a 4.3" 720p LCD display in front, and a 4.3" 640x360 e-ink display at the back. Yota Devices claim that using both displays would be practical in some situations, and at the same time conserves battery use.

Other specifications of the dual-screen phone include a dual-core 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 1800mAh battery.

The design and specifications are certainly dated, and according to Yota Devices, a second-generation edition of the phone is already in the works and may hit the market in the latter part of 2014.
