"How I Met Your Mother" season 9 spoilers reveal that the Mother, aka Cristin Milioti, will not be in the spin off series, but will Ted Mosby, played by Josh Radnor, guest star in the "How I Met Your Mother" spin off series after season 9 ends?

E! News reports new spoilers for "How I Met Your Mother" season 9, and confirmed that Cristin Milioti, who plays The Mother on "How I Met Your Mother," "will definitely not" be in the spin off series.

But will Josh Radnor, who plays Ted Mosby, guest star on the series?

According to E! News, Josh revealed a spoiler that you "probably" won't see Ted in the spin off. "Probably" doesn't mean "no," so this may hint that there is a chance Ted could guest star on a "HIMYM" spin off.

Earlier this fall, "How I Met Your Mother" creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas revealed that they will be producing a CBS pilot called "How I Met Your Dad."

The narrative would focus on a female character's journey to find love, but will feature a whole new set of characters unrelated to "How I Met Your Mother," the Los Angeles Times reports.

Thomas emphasized that the spinoff is "very much its own beast," but added "there is some comfort in knowing that if you have some great idea for another dating story, or breakup story, there is a new place to tell a new version of it."

Now we know that "How I Met Your Dad" won't be about how Cristin Milioti's character meets Ted Mosby, but instead about an entirely different love story, perhaps with a similar style as "HIMYM."

In other spoiler news, Milioti told E! News that fans should not miss the 200th episode, which she said will "fill in the mother stuff."

Additionally, Jason Segel, who plays Marshall Eriksen, revealed that soon we will find out who wins the battle over where Marshall and Lily are going to live: will Lily win and their family will move to Italy? Or will Marshall take the judge job and they'll stay in NYC?
