Breaking Bad Walter White Tops TIME Most Influential Fictional Characters: Olivia Pope, Katniss Everdeen Round Up The Top Three

It has been more than ten weeks since AMC's Breaking Bad concluded. Despite that, the show continues to harvest recognitions from different organizations and award giving bodies, a proof of show's gigantic success.

Aside from three Golden Globe nominations, BB's legacy continues through the prestigious TIME magazine People of the Year.

Bryan Cranston's character, Walter White, has been named by TIME as the most influential fictional character of 2013. Cranston' epic portrayal of meth-dealing Walter White has broken so many records when it comes to acting nominations and victories.

The character's image also became visible on T-shirts and was used as costume on different parties, and adapted as name for babies. The show's finale also became one of the most talked about and White's demise in the show's finale was tagged by TV critics as one 'perfect ending.'

TIME wrote on its website:

"The chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin (played by Bryan Cranston) was TV's most talked-about antihero, luring 10.3 million viewers to Breaking Bad's series finale-up 442% from season four-and sparking thousands of Internet debates about the nuances of morality. And White's (spoiler alert!) death did real-world good: a funeral event staged by fans raised $17,000 for the Albuquerque homeless."

Rounding up the top three are Olivia Pope from ABC's Scandal and Katniss Everdeen of the movie Catching Fire.

Pope, who is played by Kerry Washington, is a crisis manager from the US capital who saves high-profile people from scandal that struck them. Scandal, which has just aired its finale for the third season, also talks about Pope's struggle in handling a secret affair with president of the United States.

Katniss Everdeen, played by the very charismatic Jennifer Lawrence, made it to the list, because of its US$600 million profit from movie tickets (and counting). Katniss has inspired so many product lines, including the Nerf Rebelle line of guns, quivers and crossbows for girls, Lucas Hugh "Capitol Label" workout clothes, and a makeup line from CoverGirl.
