‘Avengers Age of Ultron’ ‘Death Of Captain America’ Story Arc Hinted By ‘Crossbones’ Actor; Will SHIELD Betray The Avengers?

"Avengers Age Of Ultron" will feature the crossing of the Avengers from Earth to the Cosmos. However, there are some loose ends that need to be resolved. Will the resolution take the life of an Avenger?

The themes explored in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will seek to answer some of the more disturbing questions that have become loopholes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the major loopholes is the absence of SHIELD involvement in "Iron Man 3" and "Thor: The Dark World."

Will this be resolved in the Captain America sequel? Based on the trailer, the movie practically revolves around SHIELD. It also hints at challenging Steve Rogers loyalty in the modern world-where nothing is black and white anymore.

In an interview with Crave Online, Frank Grillo, who plays SHIELD Agent Brock Rumlow, carefully avoids hinting at an extended Crossbones run. Crossbones is Rumlow's alter ego in the comics and the character that is responsible for the death of Captain America.

"We see you once in the Winter Soldier trailer, but are you throughout the movie?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters. It's almost like it's a series. It's fun. I can't say very much about it because Marvel's very strict about what you're allowed to say. The movie, we've seen bits of it, and it is spectacular.

But I think comic book readers know that Brock is Crossbones, so we wonder how close he gets in his first appearance.

I can't say any of that because they will fire me.

I know, but because they've expanded into television, is there a chance for you to appear on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

You know, at this point in my career, it's something that I'm not really interested in doing. I've got my own thing to do on television so you can't really do two at once. Not that I don't want to do it, but it doesn't get me going anymore to do something like that.

Well, I imagine they have plans for Brock in the movies.

They do actually. We'll see what happens. We'll see if the fans respond to Brock and how it goes."

Will the issues be resolved in CATWS? How will this affect the team? Marvel has raised too many questions for the audience to resist.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4, 2014.
