Big Bang's T.O.P has been successful in clenching a spot in the twenty-two person list as one of Rolling Stone magazine's 2013's Hottest Sex Symbols. T.O.P, who is notorious amongst K-Pop audiences for modesty regarding his body, was previously chosen by Fuse TV as one of the Sexiest Musicians of 2013. In the case of the Fuse TV honor, selection was determined by a month vote and T.O.P beat out other nominees to share the honor with American pop princess Britney Spears.

T.O.P is included on the list with Sky Ferreira who collaborated on G-Dragon's Coup d'Etat with the song Black. Rolling Stone describes T.O.P as, "K-Pop's answer to Justin Timberlake: a handsome, stylish, talented multi-threat". In an interesting testimony to how beloved T.O.P is as a performer, as of December 18^th, his entry on the 2013's Hottest Sex Symbols listing had received the largest amount of social media shares through Facebook, as well as Twitter.

With his classic features, towering height, and deep voice T.O.P defies convention set by Western media regarding Asian men. As part of the 2013's Hottest Sex Symbols list, T.O.P is the only Asian entertainer represented, as well as the only Korean artist. Recognition through Rolling Stone and Fuse TV are momentous considering that American media often makes a great effort to portray Asian men in a comical, asexual manner while Asian women are often hyper-sexualized.

Perhaps, T.O.P has a future with modeling and acting within the Western market. While Korean entertainment agencies struggle to replicate his rap flow and sound, the component that makes T.O.P stand apart are his handsome features. While others may be able to imitate his signature vocals, it will be difficult for them to beat what are now two nods towards T.O.P's sexy charisma.
