2013 Christmas Eve Store Hours: Kohl's, Toys R Us, Macy's, And More!

As the 2013 Christmas shopping panic hits its apex this week, many retail chains have extended its store hours for Christmas Eve to rake in some last-minute profits from shoppers.

Due to a late start on the Thanksgiving shopping spree, stores such as Kohl's, Toys R Us, and Target are taking advantage of the 2013 Christmas season by drawing on last-minute Christmas Eve store shoppers.

Kohl's, for example, will have open store hours until 6pm on Christmas Eve. The retail chain has been open for all of last weekend and will remain open for 100 hours straight.

"We have no idea what to expect. Hopefully we'll do a lot of business," said assistant manager Jaci McGee according to The Patriot-News.

Macy's, meanwhile, will have Christmas Eve store hours that will last until 6pm as well.

For those still trying to find the perfect 2013 Christmas toy, Toys R Us will have even longer extended store hours on Christmas Eve, until 9pm.

Meanwhile, select locations for Target, K-Mart and Nordstrom will stay open late, but their store hours will be selective, depending on your area.

All of this, of course, is to avoid what analysts say may be a lackluster holiday shopping year.

"The economy is bumping along on the bottom, Christmas will be mediocre and highly promotional," said Creditntell senior analyst Jim Rice according to NY Post.

“People may be feeling a little more secure in their job, may see a higher balance in their 401(k) or be feeling their house is worth more, but they are not seeing more money in their paycheck, and that drives holiday sales,” added financial analyst Greg McBride.

But, with extended Christmas Eve store hours, hopefully the 2013 Christmas shopping season will end on a high note.
