House Of Cards Season 2 Update: US Pres. Obama Asked To Appear In Netflix's Political Drama. Find Out His Response

Netflix's House of Cards is one of the most successful TV series in 2013. This show, led by Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey, has become a cult hit and has been harvesting awards and nominations here and there.

For its second season, reports have it that someone of high profile will join the show. A video from CBS news is out on the web showing United States President Barack Obama having some chit chat with Netflix CEO Reed Hastings. The company chief was at the White House last week to join a photo op. The country's first black president was also there to meet with some tech bosses in order to help him fix the website of Obamacare.

Before the meeting started, President Obama asked Reed if he has any copies of Kevin Spacey's Golden Globe nominated show. Reed didn't have any copies or advance episodes of House of Cards Season 2 with him. What he did was ask this:

"Are you willing to do a little cameo?"

The president didn't make any straight reply but he expressed how much he like the show and Spacey.

"Well, I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient. It's true. I like Kevin Spacey. This guy's getting a lot of stuff done!"

Of course, the chance of having Obama on the show is little to nothing. The president is too busy with his plans for the country. But as a fan of the drama, you would definitely love to see him in the series. Who knows, the president might get an Emmy for his appearance.

House of Cards tells the story of Francis "Frank" Underwood, an ambitious Democratic congressman from South Carolina who went after his colleagues who connived to deny him of the Secretary of State position. Also in the show are Robin Wright, Kate Mara, Michael Kelly, and Corey Stoll.

The show is expected to be back on February 14 next year.
