INTRO TO K-POP: Although only in her second year of college, Rajamanickam has already made quite an impression on her classmates during a recent beauty pageant, with a little help from K-pop and her ability to keep an open mind. "There was this college beauty competition [I competed in] at my school," she explained. "There, a girl spoke about K-pop when she was asked to talk about her interests. The seniors started mocking her. Tears came rolling down her cheeks. On the way back to class, I stopped and asked her about it. Her reply was 'don't talk about it until you watch it.' In the last round of the beauty pageant, which is the talent round, I sang 'Without Words' from the South Korean drama 'You're Beautiful' and I won the competition! All thanks to K-pop. And those seniors started listening to it too!"

FAVORITE GROUP: CNBLUE

WHY CNBLUE IS BEST: "I can't explain exactly why, I just know that I love their songs and I love them," Rajamanickam said. "I need to listen to them every single day."

BEST CNBLUE SONG: "Love Girl"

"I love this song the most," Rajamanickam said. "The vocals are so lovely and clear."

FAVORITE SOLO ARTIST: Kim Hyun Joong

"I'm a diehard fan of [SS501 frontman] Kim Hyun Joong," she said. "He is so unique! I adore his songs. He is the best solo artist by far. Nobody can match his talent. He's the most talented person ever to walk the earth, next to Michael Jackson, I would say."

FAVORITE KIM HYUN JOONG SONG: "Unbreakable"

"What a mind blowing song!" Rajamanickam said. "It makes me jump up and down to the music."

K-POP IN INDIA: Rajamanickam has a simple message for all the K-pop artists out there; come to India! "I wish [some K-pop acts] would arrange concerts in India," she said. "No K-pop idol groups perform in India. That is really upsetting! We are good music listeners too! I wish they could spread their fantastic music even here. CNBLUE and Kim Hyun Joong, we are waiting."
