Pokemon Bank Release Date Uncertain Despite Poke Transporter Reappearing On Nintendo 3DS eShop: Black And White Kyurem, Origin Forme Giratina Restricted

The Pokemon Bank debacle continues to delay the worldwide release date, but more information regarding the Poke Transporter and the service itself has surfaced.

Recently in Japan, the Pokemon Bank companion utility called Poke Transporter has been re-added to the Nintendo 3DS eShop despite the Bank service still being down.

According to Serebii, the Poke Transporter can only be accessed through the Pokemon Bank software, so only the rare few who managed to download Pokemon Bank before the crash can see the utility right now.

Still, it appears Nintendo is slowly trying to salvage Pokemon Bank, although a release date remains uncertain for North America, Europe, and Oceania.

While Nintendo sorts through its problems with the eShop and Pokemon Bank, the company is recommending that gamers register a Nintendo Network ID on the 3DS console before the re-release.

In addition, more information regarding Pokemon Bank has emerged from those who are able to test the service during the delay.

It appears that despite the convenience of the service, there are some restrictions on Pokemon Bank.

Items and Eggs cannot be placed in Pokemon Bank. If you transfer a Pokemon holding an item, the item will return to your bag. This means that Origin Forme Giratina will revert to Altered Forme automatically.

In addition, Black Kyurem and White Kyuren cannot be placed in the box and will have to be defused before transferring to Pokemon Bank.

And of course, all Pokemon have to go through a hack check, and if a Pokemon is detected as a hacked Pokemon, it cannot be placed within Pokemon Bank.

With the release date delayed to 2014, hopefully Nintendo fixes its server issues soon.
