As "Glee" continues its long winter hiatus, more season 5 spoilers continue to surface regarding the fate of its cast.
Once "Glee" season 5 returns, spoilers confirm that New Directions will face fierce competition at Nationals from Throat Explosion, featuring "Pitch Perfect" alum Skylar Astin as its star performer.
Along with Lea Michele and Jenna Ushkowitz, Astin is yet another "Spring Awakening" star to appear on "Glee."
"I'm his biggest fan, he's one of my best friends, and I couldn't be happier for him and his success. He's amazing in 'Pitch Perfect,'" said Lea Michele according to Hollywood Reporter.
In addition, Jayma Mays' upcoming exit from the show will be coming up, and spoilers confirm "Glee" season 5 episode 10 will feature a nice arc between Emma and Will.
Episode 10 is also her "penultimate" appearance on the show.
According to Digital Spy, Jayma Mays' exit from "Glee" was not her decision, but Ryan Murphy's.
"It wasn't my choice. The creators decided to do it. Some other characters will also be leaving this season. It's very sad to be going but I understand why they do it."
Fortunately, Mays is now starring on the CBS sitcom "The Millers."
And of course, "Glee" season 5 will feature its milestone 100th episode, set to broadcast March 18.
Joining the current cast are "Glee" alums Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and Kristin Chenoweth.
