Girls' Generation Yoona and Lee Seung Gi emerged as the New Year's first celebrity couple. Not long after, Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho came out of the relationship closet as well! It's a double celebrity couple for 2014!

There are many similarities between the two couples. Both Sooyoung and Yoona were chosen as an "ideal girlfriend" by their respective boyfriends, long before they even started dating.

Lee Seung Gi's confession for Yoona goes way back to 2009. In October that year, Lee Seung Gi starred in a Chuseok special titled "Lee Seung Gi's Ideal Woman World Cup." He gave up some other super beautiful stars such as Kim Tae Hee and Jeon Ji Hyun, and instead chose the equally beautiful Yoona as his ideal girlfriend. Lee Seung Gi then guest starred on SBS "Strong Heart" with Yoona, and seemed unusually shy.

In February the next year, Yoona appeared on "Strong Heart" with Taecyeon, whom she was involved in a scandal with at the time. Yoona commented, "Instead of Taecyeon's touch charisma, I like someone who is gentle and delicate (like Lee Seung Gi)." Then later in May Lee Seung Gi appeared on MBC's "Come to Play" and chose Yoona as his ideal woman, saying "Yoona's really pretty."

Jung Kyung Ho expressed his crush on Sooyoung at the press conference before his military service leave. After he returned, Jung Kyung Ho spoke in front of reporters in September of 2012. He said, "All the girl groups were an encouragement to me while I was enlisted, but even among them Girls' Generation Sooyoung had the biggest impact."

Sooyoung saw this clip while on SBS' "Midnight TV Entertainment," and looked shy but smiled happily. Since then, the couple was involved in a relationship scandal in February and October, but denied the rumor both times.
