WINNER & GOT7 To Rewrite The History Of Boy Groups

Boy groups WINNER and GOT7 are to rewrite the history of boy idol groups.

SM Entertainment's EXO is a million seller group of 2013. For the agencies, a boy group that is popular enough among the female fans is the best deal because, in addition to their music, their concert tickets and products are going to sell well.

While SM Entertainment created the three generations of boy groups, starting from H.O.T., DBSK, and EXO, YG and JYP debuted WINNER and GOT7 this year, as their next generation boy groups since Big Bang and 2PM.

The name GOT7, a seven-person boy group, stands for the lucky seven "got together."

GOT7 is the JTP's boy group in six years since 2PM. Like 2PM, GOT7's dance is what distinguishes them from other boy groups. Their dance moves, which is the combination of martial arts and b-boying, in addition to hip hop, are going to attract the female fans' attention just like 2PM's dance moves. The members are comprised of Korean, Taiwanese American, Thai, and Chinese, which will make it easier for them to create international fans.

YG's WINNER is a five-person boy group that writes their own songs, which reminds the fans of Big Bang. The members are all Korean, and the group is most likely to debut in the first half of 2014.
