Super Junior leader Leeteuk's father and grandparents passed away on January 6. Leeteuk's colleagues continue to offer their condolences to him and his family.

Many celebrities including Super Junior members, TVXQ Changmin, and Beast Yoon Doo Joon attended the wake into the early hours of the morning.

Others like 2PM Chansung, FTIsland Lee Hong Ki, and U-KISS Soohyun offered words of sympathy to Leeteuk on their personal Twitter accounts. Yoon Doo Joon wrote, "You [Leeteuk] always greeted me with a smile. My heart hurts even more that you still greet me the same way on this sad day. Rest in peace." "Have strength, Leeteuk hyung. May they rest in peace," Chansung wrote.

Super Junior member Shindong canceled that day's live recording of his radio show and Ryeowook expressed sadness during his, saying, "I am still in shock of Leeteuk's tragic news. I am sorry I cannot be a stronger support to my listeners."

Sources initially reported that Leeteuk's father and grandparents passed away in a car accident. However, they were found dead at their residence. According to police, the three family members were found in their apartment home on January 6, 9:20 AM.

Police reported that the grandparents were found on the bed, under the covers. The father had hung himself.

To this, Leeteuk's entertainment agency responded asking people to respect Leeteuk's privacy during his time of grieving.
