‘The Hobbit: There And Back Again’ Set To Film On May! ‘The Hobbit’ Star James Nesbitt Rakes In Wealth By Joining Peter Jackson’s Film?

It seems there's no more delays this time around as filming for "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will reportedly resume in May.

James Nesbitt, who plays Bofur in the Hobbit series, confirmed to Irish Examiner, that he will be returning to New Zealand in May as Peter Jackson resumes filming for the third and final part of the trilogy.

Meanwhile, the newspaper reported that Nesbitt raked in more wealth because of his role in the extremely profitable Hobbit franchise. For landing the starring role, Nesbitt earned over €339,000. The film slayed all box office competition when it was released in December. It already earned more than $74 million worldwide, according to Rentrak Corp.

According to TheOneRing.net, other cast members have also suggested that they will be back in New Zealand this year, possibly in May, for the The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

Richard Armitage, who plays Thorin, said in an interview that there's no official word at the moment but knowing the "taste and what he's aiming for, I have no doubt in my mind that we'll be going back to do more stuff."

"On the last day of the shoot, he [PJ] put his arms around me, and he gave me a big hug and said, 'See you next year.' And I was like, 'What, do you mean for the Premiere?' and he went, 'No, no; we'll be back here again,'" Armitage said.

Rumors flew that the release of The Hobbit: There and Back Again would be scrapped because of the litigation involving the Weinstein brothers and Miramax on one hand and New Line and Warner Bros. on the other over unpaid share of the profits.

However, Tolkien scholar, Atty. Douglas C. Kane, wrote on TheOneRing.net that the lawsuit only seeks compensation for the Weinstein for the second and third instalment of the trilogy as well as damages amounting to $75 million.

"Fans of Peter Jackson's Middle-earth films (or even those who revel in criticizing them) have nothing to worry about," Kane said. Come December 17, 2014, Bilbo Baggins will go There and Back Again," he said. "Or if he doesn't, it will have nothing to do with this lawsuit."
