Upcoming Android Phones 2014: LG Reportedly Working On 5 Android KitKat-Powered Handsets, Could Be Unveiled At The MWC In Spain

As the year progresses, a number of new upcoming Android phones for 2014 have found their way into the market. However, most of these handsets are from minor manufacturers in the mobile industry including Acer, Asus, Lenovo and Alcatel.

As for the bigger companies (Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola) as far as the Android platform is concerned, no new handsets are available yet aside from the more compact version of the Xperia Z1, Compact.

Now, a new report claims that LG may already be gearing toward the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona as it is allegedly working on five different handsets.

Bearing the model numbers LG-D830, LS-740, LG-D410, LG-D320, and LG-MS323, the five handsets are said to be all powered by Android Kitkat right off the box. This is not surprising considering KitKat runs smoothly even on devices with midrange or even entry-level specs.

In a report by Phone Arena, the five devices were all spotted in HTML5Test running the latest Android version. While we don't know much about the four other LG devices, the LG-830 was already spotted in a user agent profile packing Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), and LTE.

Meanwhile, you may have observed that there was one handset with a different model number - LS-740. According to the report, this may hint its LTE compatibility, and an impending release for Sprint due to the 'LS' portion.

Samsung, Sony and HTC are also tipped to launch new handsets at the MWC so you better stay tuned.
