DSP Media’s Server Goes Down With Announcement Of Nicole’s Withdrawal From KARA

Five-member group KARA's agency DSP Media announced Nicole's withdrawal from the group, and the website server went down from the sudden influx of visitors to KARA's official site.

At 8AM on the morning of the 14th, the site indicated "We cannot connect to the server because it has surpassed the daily data capacity." At 12:02 AM that same morning, DSP Media had reported Nicole's withdrawal from the group. It seems as though the net users congested the site, and broke the connection with the server.

DSP Media announced, "Nicole, who has spent the last 7 years eating and sleeping with the members, will have her contract come to an end on the 16th." They continued, "Although she will be concluding her activities with KARA, but we ask that you cheer her on as she prepares for a new start."

Regarding the other 4 members they wrote, "They plan to individually pursue acting, and will be active with album preparations and more. KARA will come back with a new look to greet their fans, so we hope that you continue to cheer them on and support them with your love."

DSP renewed contracts with Kyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara for another 2 years. As for Jiyoung, whose contract is scheduled to expire in April, DSP Media stated that Jiyoung is currently pursuing both musical activities and her academics, and will take some more time to contemplate her contract.
